What is the time frame I am able to return a product?
You can return any new and unused product within 30 days from the invoice date, unless stated on the order non-returnable. If the non-returnable item is defective you may return it for replacement only. If you have purchased an air tool, the tool must be in unused new condition, with original packaging and contents. If an item is returned in used condition or it is not in original packaging with all contents, it will not be refunded.
Is it mandatory to have an RA number in order to return a product to Abrasive Specialties?
Yes. You must obtain a Return Authorization ("RA") number within the applicable Return Policy period. Abrasive Specialties will not accept returns without prior authorization and an RA number. Once issued, RA numbers are valid for 10 days. Abrasive Specialties must receive the returned products within this timeframe. RA numbers will not be extended or reissued. Customer should display the RA number(s) on the shipping label of the boxes containing the returned product.
How do I acquire a Return Authorization number (RA#)?
We ask that all Return Authorization numbers be requested via email. If you have a special request, please give us a call at 513-271-3883.

Approximately how long will it be before a refund/credit actually appears on my credit/debit card?
After we received and inspected the returned item(s), it takes approximately two to three business days to process a credit back to your credit card and 2-3 business days for it to appear on your statement. If you have an open account with us, we will process a credit memo within the above time period and mail you a copy.
When and why are restocking fees applied? How much is deducted when a return is subject to a restocking fee?
There is a restocking fee of 15% on all returns for refund. We charge this restocking fee for all returns for refund to encourage customers to purchase products they intend to keep. We offer replacement without any restocking fee if you received a defective product.
Does Abrasive Specialties pay the return shipping?
No, Abrasive Specialties does not pay the return shipping cost unless the item you received was not the item that was purchased. We are not responsible for product defects, because we do not manufacture the products we carry. However, if you pay to send the item back to us, we will replace the item and ship the replacement to you at no charge. We will do everything possible to ensure your item is replaced promptly. We cannot replace an item without having the returned item in hand.
